Classic Mini 998 Cooper 12G295 Cylinder Head

To kick off the A Series block we are going through in the machine shop, David decided he would recondition a nice rare 12G295 cylinder head.

For those that do not know, these were fitted on some of the 1100 specials but mostly the Mk2 998 Cooper. With larger ports and valves from the factory these are a popular choice for upgraded performance on the smaller bore engines.

Due to the 998 Cooper having raised crown pistons (D Top) the head requires a skim to get the compression ratio up when using the more modern Flat top pistons that are available.

A nice one to kick the week off with.
